I lead the Consulting Group at Brunel Business School as well as the BSc Accounting and Business Management programme. Specialising in Corporate Finance and Audit, I bring the heart of business to the lecture theatre through the Practitioners’ perspective, enriching the learning experience of MBA, PG and UG students.
I have 20 years of practical experience in leading investigatory work for multinationals with expertise in cross-border M&A transactions. Some of my recent clients include Renault, Ericsson, Kone, Hutchinson and Savola Group. I have also held interim directorship roles in treasury and finance before embarking on higher education.
In 2021, I won the election to the global governing council of ACCA, one of the world’s leading professional bodies representing 233,000 members. I was also appointed as a member and sit in the Technical Committe of ICAEW's Corporate Finance Faculty, contributing to policy development and responding to consultations by governments, regulators and other professional bodies.
Immigrating to the UK as a graduate, my career started in 2002 and after qualifying as a chartered certified accountant in 2007, I joined Deloitte Corporate Finance. In 2016, in an entrepreneurial move, I joined the leadership team of a start up consultancy, Frontier Partners. I currently serve as a Partner and Head of Transactions of the firm.
Having worked in over 9 countries across Europe and the Middle East, I strive to use my cultural agility to build collegial networks and bridge the gap between professional practice and theoretical knowledge.
