Summary

Diane Astin joined Brunel University London in July 2018 as a Lecturer in Legal Practice. She has previously taught law at the Universities of Westminster and North London.  She is also a practicing solicitor, specialising in housing law, public law, asylum support and disability discrimination.  She was a member of the Civil Justice Council between 2026 and 2025. 

Qualifications

Bachelor of Arts (1st class hons) from Newcastle University, Graduate Diploma in Law (distinction) from Northumbria University and Master of Laws (merit) from the London School of Economics.
