Summary

My role includes the management of the institutional repository (BURA, (DSpace)), the Research Information System (BRAD (Symplectic Elements)), and helping to support the University's Research Excellence Framework (REF 2029) submission in liaison work with College Research Managers, Academic staff, Planning and IT. My work at Brunel has been recognised nationally and internationally by professional organisations such as Jisc, NISO and OCLC. Outside work, I volunteer as a youth registrar and webmaster for Wasps FC, the amateur rugby club based in Acton.

Responsibility

I manage BURA - Brunel University London's institutional repository, BRAD - the Current Research Information System, and the BRAD team responsible for keeping Brunel's Open Research up to date on these systems. The BRAD team is based in the Library (https://www.brunel.ac.uk/life/library/ORR). Previously, I managed the Library's digital resources and discovery system (Ex Libris 360 Knowledge Base), EZproxy (OCLC), Shibboleth (UK Access Management Federation), OpenAthens for the NHS, and library analytics.
