Summary

I joined Brunel University London in April 2022. Prior to this, I was Lecturer in Finance at Aston University in Birmingham (UK) since 2011. I have also taught at universities in the United States. I was Assistant Professor of Finance at Simmons College (Boston, Massachusetts) from 2006-10 and Merrimack College (North Andover, Massachusetts) from 2010-11. I was Instructor of Finance at University of Connecticut (Storrs, Connecticut) from 2001-06.

My research is focused primarily in corporate finance and I have published papers on initial public offerings (IPOs) in Journal of Banking and FinanceEuropean Financial Management, and European Journal of Finance. A publication in International Journal of Disclosure and Governance was awarded the 2012 KPMG Outstanding Published Manuscript Award from the Gender Issues & Work-Life Balance Section of the American Accounting Association.

I am a CFA® charterholder since 2010 and have awarded scholarships to undergraduate and post-graduate students since 2011 to take the CFA exams. I have also played in a key role in Master's programmes acquiring affiliation under CFA Institute’s University Affiliation Program. I am a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA) since 2018. I served as External Examiner for the Executive MBA Program at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, from 2012 to 2016.
