Summary

I have always had a strong love for nature and all living creatures, but especially the smallest, which developed into my fascination with microorganisms and microscopy. My career path has been unconventional, and prior to my return to Academia in UK I had worked in Healthcare and Opticians.

I started my Doctoral study in Environmental Sciences at the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering of Brunel University in October 2025. My research focuses on the impact of climate change and antibiotic pollution of riverine systems on the freshwater microbiome. Before this, during my Bachelor's at Roehampton University in 2024 I investigated microplastic ingestion by microorganisms such as ciliates.

My current research is funded by the London Natural Environment Research Council Doctoral Training Partnership (LDTP2) and I received training alongside NERC TREES (Training, Research and Equity in Environmental Sciences) cohort 1.
