Kalliopi is a Doctoral Researcher and Lecturer at the University.

She joined Brunel Law School as a Doctoral Researcher in October 2020. Her research focuses on Financial Crime in the new digital world, where she explores the use of technologies and, in particular, Artificial Intelligence, to detect and prevent money laundering and other financial crimes.

Kalliopi holds an LLB from Demokritos University of Thrace, and an LLM in European Criminal Law with specialization in Financial Crime from Humboldt University in Berlin. She is a qualified Greek Lawyer and an Accredited Business Mediator, with experience as a Compliance Officer and Legal Consultant in the financial Sector.
