Summary
Mamoon is a doctoral researcher in Sociology. His reserach broadly focuses on 'race', racialisation, bodies, migration, postcoloniality, river-islands (chars), Brahmaputra and northeast India.
He is currently working as an honorary researcher at the National Health Services (NHS), England; and a part-time consultant at the Department of Law, SOAS (School of Oriental and African Studies). He is also a former Junior Research Officer at Indian Institute of Bank Managament, by the Reserve Bank of India and worked as a Research Assistant at various projects funded by the British Academy/Leverhume Trust.
