Summary
- Paula is a Senior Lecturer (Professional Practice) in Physiotherapy focused on teaching in the field of Pelvic Health Physiotherapy. She has gained experience in both Pelvic Health Physiotherapy and management roles, having worked in three different UK NHS Trusts: Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust, Barts Health NHS Trust and Cambridge University Hospitals.
- Currently, Paula is balancing her academic position at Brunel University with her role as an Advanced Clinical Practitioner in Pelvic health at the Perinatal Pelvic Health Service (PPHS) in Southeast London and Neonatal clinical system (LMNS). The PPHS is an interprofessional team of pelvic health midwives and physiotherapists dedicated to the early identification and management of pelvic floor dysfunction during the perinatal period.
- In 2020, Paula began her tenure at Brunel University as a Clinical Lecturer within the postgraduate program for Advanced Clinical Practice in Pelvic Health. She is currently serving as the Module Lead for Working as an Advanced Perinatal Practitioner.
- Paula strongly supports interprofessional education and values collaborative team-centered learning.
