Research: Roberto is completing a practice-led research investigating methods of social-engagement in site-responsive performance practice.
The research examines the role of authorship and collaboration through three international performance projects. These function as case studies and testing grounds for models of devising work in a collaborative environment where participants generated content along with a practitioner. Through each of these projects the research experimented with methods of community collaboration and shared authorship. The research tested models of performance making that took into account site, locale, community and customs at the three residencies: Beirut, Lebanon 2009 – Ghana, West Africa 2008 – and Naples, Italy 2007.
