Mr Timon Munir
Lecturer (Education Academic) in Accounting

Eastern Gateway 201

Summary

Teaching has become my passion since I started teaching adults in 2006. Working as an accountant enabled me to bring the practical experience gained into the classroom. Over these years of teaching professional courses, I have developed presentation, leadership and management skills. In the academic year 2019/20, I received a student-led Lecturer of the year award. I was nominated for  Ken Darby-Dowman Memorial Prize which is awarded to staff in recognition of their contribution to the Student Experience with a focus on the compassion and kindness being demonstrated to our students.

I have taught for 7 years in FE college and during this period I gained my teaching qualification. I have been a marker in computerised accounting and spreadsheets for the AAT Qualification. I am also serving as treasurer of a charity.
