Keep on Moving: What's New in Multiple Sclerosis and Stroke Research

This free-to-attend celebration and dissemination seminar is hosted by The Institute of Environment, Health and Societies, Brunel University London and will bring you up-to-date with what is new in the field of multiple sclerosis (MS) and stroke research from a number of established researchers in the field alongside perspectives from people with MS and stroke survivors.

The morning session will focus on sharing the research findings and the ‘insider perspectives’ from iSTEP, a randomised controlled trial (funded by the MS Society) that aimed to identify a safe and effective way of helping people with MS to make physical activity part of everyday life.

The lunchtime session will also provide an opportunity for a number of interactive activities including the NeuroBall from the RHOMBUS study (www.neurofenix.com).

The afternoon session is focused on sharing the research findings and the ‘insider perspectives’ from the RHOMBUS study (Rehabilitation at HOme Based gaming exercise for the Upper-limb post Stroke. RHOMBUS which was funded by Innovate UK and carried out by a team from Brunel and a bioengineering company Neurofenix (www.neurofenix.com) examined how stroke survivors used an innovative gaming device to do arm exercises at home.
