Brunel Fellowship Academy

Short-term fellowships available in Advanced Materials and Digital Manufacturing for New-Generation Energy Technologies for Summer 2023

Undertake research alongside Brunel University London as one of our IKB fellows to boost your career and support us to tackle the transition away from fossil fuels.

As an IKB fellow (standing for Isambard Kingdom Brunel, the famed engineer we're named after) you'll have an intensive period of research collaboration with our academics, who have world-leading expertise in many areas of energy, such as its generation, distribution and end use, as well as in advanced materials and manufacturing technologies.

Research in this area will be key to humanity achieving our ambitious net zero emissions targets and steering the planet towards a more sustainable future.

Whether you're an academic from a university in the UK or elsewhere, or from industry, government or the not-for-profit sector, if you have an existing or developing international profile in advanced materials and manufacturing for energy applications, we're keen to collaborate with you and welcome you to our facilities.

The fellowship will boost your publications and grant applications, will raise your profile and expand your network, and will broaden your experience of collaborative and interdisciplinary research.

The Brunel Fellowship Academy's programme will run between June and September 2023, with a choice of start dates and fellowship lengths to suit you, from 4 weeks to 3 months.
