The Kelly Young Women in Finance Scholarship supports high-achieving female students studying a finance-related BSc or MSc programme at Brunel Business School. Established through the generosity of Brunel alumna Kelly Young, CEO of Acadian Asset Management, this scholarship aims to encourage and support the next generation of women pursuing careers in finance.

Eligibility
Applicants must:
- Identify as a woman.
- Be classified as a UK Home student.
- Hold an offer for a finance-related BSc or MSc programme at Brunel Business School for the September 2026 intake
OR be continuing in your finance-related BSc or MSc programme already underway at Brunel Business School.
- Be fully self-funded.
- Show academic merit and potential to make a positive contribution to the finance profession.
Award Details
The scholarship provides £10,000 towards the cost of study, including tuition fees and/or living expenses, paid in two instalments over the 2026-27 academic year.
Selection
Applications will be assessed by the Brunel Business School Admissions and Scholarship Committee. Applicants must provide a supporting statement and an academic reference from a former or current teacher/advisor. You will be required to submit a 300-word statement under the title of: ‘After completing your Brunel programme, how do you plan to use your skills and knowledge to contribute and further the role of women in the finance industry?’
The scholarship is awarded by Brunel University of London in line with the eligibility criteria and application requirements published above. We reserve the right to withdraw the scholarship if your fee status changes from Home or if you otherwise become ineligible for the award.
