Expansion of Brunel Social Work approved by Health & Care Professions Council

Crazy Gang 'battle cry', Adele and ABBA: Music in the dressing room

The Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) has approved the expansion of the MA in Social Work at Brunel University London.  This means that from September 2017, there will be up to 50 places available on the Master's programme each year.  Brunel has made plans to accommodate larger student numbers in Social Work, including planning new teaching and learning facilities at our Uxbridge campus and developing new agreements with placement providers.

The Health and Care Professions Council is an independent, UK-wide regulatory body responsible for setting and maintaining standards of health and care professionals.  They are satisfied that the expanded Social Work programme at Brunel will continue to meet their standards of education and training.

The Social Work Division at Brunel welcomes this external validation of the quality of our Social Work Master's programme. The expansion means there are some places still available to start the Master's in Social Work at Brunel in September 2017.
