This weekend, Brunel hosted the BUCS Cross Country Championships at Hillingdon House Farm with a record-breaking 1,996 entries.
Leading the way for Brunel was Sports Scholar, Philippa Bowden, who had a brilliant run on home turf to take bronze, defeating 2018 IAAF World Championship 1500m semi-finalist and National Cross Country champion, Jess Judd. Bowden finished less than a second behind silver and only four seconds behind gold, four places better than she managed last year.
Despite the muddy conditions, Jacob McAdam and Sam Metcalf were our first finishers in the men's short and long races.
