Beyond the Rubble: Syria's Collective Memory

This Media and Communications MSc dissertation project explored how documentaries about the Syrian Revolution shape collective memory and contribute to transitional justice within Syrian society.

MSc student Roua Jumran's documentary film investigated the ways in which documentary films serve not only as records of historical events but also as active participants in justice processes, highlighting their role in preserving the memories of the conflict and aiding in accountability efforts for crimes committed during the revolution.
