There are still plenty of ways to stay fit and we have extra measures in place to protect your health when using our facilities

If you will be living on campus from late August, you will be able to access our Brunel Gym. Further access to Brunel Gym and other Sports Centre activity will be on offer from early September in line with the opening of campus.

  • All touch points and hand contact areas are sanitised throughout the day and we have enhanced cleaning in all areas

  • We have scheduled closed sessions during the day for additional cleans after session bookings

  • You will find Sanitising Stations at the entrance to each building as well as multiple stations throughout the gym

  • You can pay using Cashless Payments at all sites

  • We have social distancing signage in all our facilities

  • We will be managing our queues when appropriate

  • We are working with national governing bodies for each sporting activity to ensure best practice is adopted

  • We will have a reduced capacity in gym spaces within guidance recommendations

You can also make use of our online fitness content and classes - book through the Brunel Sport Appor give us a call us on 01895 265305.

Due to the reduced risk with outdoor sport, our tennis courts and outdoor athletics track are open and you will be able to partake in outdoor sports such as football, in line with government guidance.

Weekly club training will also be taking place – in line with restrictions.

Active@Brunel is a social sports programme with the aim of getting more people on campus engaged in sport and physical activity. We have outdoor classes available with smaller groups. Classes are also live streamed, so there’s always a way to get involved.

Competitive sport is planned to resume in January so we will still be running taster sessions from October within guidelines, and training and selection for our teams ready for then.
