STEM Centre

The Brunel University London STEM programme aims to explore the application of Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths in a modern and data-driven world.

Here at Brunel we have a state of the art STEM centre dedicated to giving young people the experience of being at the forefront of research.  Students of all ages, are invited to visit the university for Masterclasses, Summer Schools and STEM Wednesdays, expertly guided by our academics and STEM ambassadors.

The STEM Centre offers a fun and supportive educational environment where young people are encouraged to envision themselves in STEM careers. 

Our facilities include:

  • Immersive dome
  • Collaborative workspaces
  • State of the art AV equipment
  • 3D printers

An example itinerary of a STEM Wednesday includes: 

09.30 am - Arrive on Campus

09.45 am - Games 

10.00 am - Group 1 - Chocolate Welding Workshop 

10.00 am - Group 2 - Model Car Workshop

Groups change over

11.00 am - Group 1 - Model Car Workshop 

11.00 am - Group 2 - Chocolate Welding Workshop 

12.30 pm - Lunch – STEM Centre Atrium

1.00 pm - Sphero Challenge

2.30 pm - Immersive Dome Experience

2.55 pm - Prize Giving 

3.00 pm - Visit closes and students depart campus
