eVision accessibility

This accessibility statement applies to eVision.

This website is run by Brunel University London. We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. For example, that means you should be able to:

  • change colours, contrast levels and fonts
  • zoom in up to 300% without the text spilling off the screen
  • navigate most of the website using just a keyboard
  • navigate most of the website using speech recognition software
  • listen to most of the website using a screen reader (most well-known screen readers)

How accessible this website is

We know some parts of this website are not fully accessible: 

  • The text will not reflow in certain instances
  • Most older PDF documents are not fully accessible to screen reader software
  • Some of our online forms are difficult to navigate using just a keyboard
  • Not all areas are accessible with a keyboard
  • Not all images have text that can be read by a screen reader
  • Some labels may be missing from certain form fields
  • Although possible to zoom, font size cannot be adjusted
  • In some cases, the non-text contrast is not sufficient

  • 2.1.1: Keyboard accessibility (not all areas fully accessible by keyboard)
  • 2.4.5: Some pages don’t have multiple navigation routes

  • 1.4.1: Colour is used as a sole method to show focus of some links

How we tested this website

This website was last tested on 16/Jan/2020. The test was carried out by Brunel University London.

We tested against a representative sample of pages on the platform evision.brunel.ac.uk

What we're doing to improve accessibility

Brunel University London is working to ensure that evision.brunel.ac.uk is fully accessible. We are currently undertaking a review of our website and once the audit has been completed, we will finalise a remediation plan.

Staff responsible for content on the website, have undertaking training in producing more accessible content and improving content already on the site.
