Student Led Teaching Awards

Posted: Wednesday 30th May 2018

On the 1st of May 2018, the Student Success Project was invited by the Union of Brunel Students to attend the annual Student-Led Teaching Awards dinner located in the Eastern Gateway auditorium. The awards acknowledges the university’s staff members who stand out from the rest, who inspire, challenge and engage their students. The awards were broken down to 6 key areas, which included; Tutor/Supervisor of the Year, Lecturer of the Year, Sustainability Champion, Exceptional Support Staff, Outstanding Feedback and Outstanding Achievement. To see the full list of winners of the 2018 SLTA awards please click here. We had a great evening celebrating and it was lovely to hear students speak about the amazing work of our staff.

The Student Success Project were invited to speak during the awards dinner and we opted to create a short video displaying the work we have done collaboratively with the Union of Brunel Students. One of the core aims of the Student Success Project is to have the student voice at the core of everything we do, so everyone who was interviewed for this video is a current student at Brunel. It was great to see how much impact we have had on staff and students around reducing the current attainment gap and driving awareness.
