A proud MBA graduate of Brunel Business School, Moustafa holds a BSc in Materials Science Engineering and an MBA in Operations and Sustainable Business Transformation. He has since dedicated his career to driving impactful change across both public and private sectors. Moustafa has applied his engineering
foundation to lead complex decarbonisation and retrofit programmes across the UK, working with public sector bodies, local authorities, and SMEs to reduce emissions, enhance energy efficiency, and champion low-carbon innovation.
His work focuses on supporting businesses and local authorities in adopting energy transition and decarbonisation strategies, implementing green fuels and sustainable practices, unlocking funding, and delivering energy efficiency measures through practical innovation and community-first approaches. Moustafa’s commitment to sustainability is matched by his passion for inclusion and social impact. Most recently, he has led community-focused decarbonisation projects across London, including the Hackney Impact programme, helping to deliver green grants, retrofit projects, and energy audits to empower underrepresented businesses. He continues to drive sustainability initiatives, helping businesses transition to greener operations.
Beyond his professional work, Moustafa was actively involved in student leadership and mentoring during his time at Brunel, and he continues to support students and alumni through career guidance and industry insight. He remains deeply engaged with the Brunel community, advocating for inclusive pathways into energy engineering, project operations, and sustainability.
