Paper submission by Professor George Ghinea selected as runner up for 2021 Best Paper Award

Professor George Ghinea's paper, “Toward Content-Driven Intelligent Authoring of Mulsemedia Applications,” was selected as the runner-up for the 2021 Best Paper Award from the prestigious IEEE MultiMedia by the IEEE Computer Society Publications Board.

The paper, written in collaboration with researchers from the Universidade Federal Fluminense, Brazil, proposes the novel use of Deep Neural Networks to indicate moments of sensory effects activation in mulsemedia content, which were then integrated into STEVE 2.0, a proof-of-concept mulsemedia authoring tool.
