Welcome!

The Computational Biology Group is focused on the development and application of novel methodologies for computational modelling, simulation and analysis of biological systems. The current research of the group is mainly on bacterial model organisms. Multiscale models are developed to describe biological mechanisms from proteins to biochemical networks and inter-organism behaviour. A combination of simulation techniques, data analytics and machine learning is used to gain novel insights into biological functions of bacterial organisms. Novel strategies for synthetic biology are also developed from a deep understanding of these functions.
