Economics and Finance accreditations and exemptions

If you decide to study professional accountancy after you graduate, our degrees offer some exemptions to ACCA and CIMA papers.

Our Economics and Finance programmes are accredited by ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) and CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants) who will offer you exemptions to some of their professional exams after you graduate.

Accreditations aren’t just a seal of approval for the quality of our courses; the exemptions they offer will save you time and money on the road to becoming a qualified accountant. Exemptions provide a fast-track way to professional qualifications so by completing an Economics and Finance degree at Brunel you’ll open yourself up to a world of opportunities and be set on your career journey.

  • ACCA – You’ll enjoy exemptions from all FIA papers and up to eight out of nine ACCA Papers depending on which course you choose and your module choices at level three.
  • CIMA – If you choose to take our BSc in Economics, Economics and Business Finance, or Economics and Management you’ll benefit from three exemptions from their papers. For graduates of our BSc in Finance and Accounting or Economics and Accounting, six exemptions are offered to our graduates.
