Biography

Private Adam Ross was the son of George and Jane Rachel Ross. He attended Borough Road College for two years, graduating with an Intermediate Arts qualification. Whilst at the college he competed in intercollege sport. On the 1915 BFSS Annual Report he is asterisked as ‘currently serving in HM forces’, and is listed as being destined for a teaching position at a school in ‘Bothal, N’land’ [Northumberland]. Ross enlisted into the Royal Army Medical Corps. He was killed on 11 September 1917, aged 24.
