Biography

Private Albert John Brooks was the song of George and Mary Ann Brooks. He attended Borough Road College for two years. His destination is listed as going straight into the Grenadier Guards as a private. He Enlisted into the 3rd Battalion Grenadier Guards in September 1914 and went to France on 26 July 1915. Brooks was killed on 27 September 1915 aged 21.
