Biography

Sergeant Observer Allan Arthur Cecil Shaddick graduated from Shoreditch College in 1941 and joined the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve shortly after. On the 28^th of August, 1941 Obs. Sgt Shaddick and his crew of 2 left RAF Watton in Norfolk for a raid on cargo ships docked at Rotterdam, Holland. Their Blenheim IV was shot down by Me109 from VI/JG53. The aircraft crashed at Rozenburg (16 km WSW of Rotterdam). Everyone on board was killed. Sgt Obs. Shaddick is buried at Hook of Holland General Cemetery. He was 21.
