Biography
Private Arthur Owen Rees was the son of Mrs Jane Rees. He attended Borough Road College though nothing is known of his time at the college, or if he even finished his studies. The Roll of Honour states that he was “killed in France, Oct. 1916”. It is possible that he took his final exams early. During the war he served with 9th Battalion Royal Fusiliers, and was killed on either 3 or 10 October 1916 aged 20.
