Biography

Second Lieutenant Frank William Lupton was born in 1895. He won a County Council Scholarship to Abingdon School in 1906. He was apparently a prominent member of the 6th Form, and obtained First Class Honours and Distinction in English in the Oxford Senior Local Examination. Whilst at school he enjoyed playing cricket, and won the Average bat of the Cricket XI with an average of 47. Lupton attended Borough Road College for two years, little is known about his academic studies, but he kept up his love of cricket by representing the college.
