Biography

Sergeant Frederick Parker was the son of Mrs Leah Parker. He attended Borough Road College for 2 years and competed in rugby for the college, before graduating with a certificate in Intermediate Science. Parker joined the Royal Engineers and completed his service in 54th East Anglican Division, Signal Coy. He was mentioned in dispatches in June 1917. Parker died of wounds (possibly wounded at the Third Battle of Gaza October 1917) on 27 March 1918, aged 27 years.
