Biography

Pilot Officer Geoffrey George Jeary was a student at Borough Road College from 1933 to 1935. On the 3rd of July 1942, Pilot Officer Jeary’s Short Stirling Mk1 transmitted an SOS at 00:28. The Pilot Officer and his crew of six were never found, but are believed to have been shot down by a German plane 50kn west of Amsterdam. Pilot Officer Jeary is remembered at Runnymede Memorial.
