Biography

Ordinary Telegraphist Reginald Haydn Allen entered Borough Road College in 1931. During his time there in addition to his studies he was on the rugby and cricket teams. Originally from Monmouthshire in Wales, a later address for him was Junior Instruction Centre, Bailey Street, Sheffield, where he was probably teaching.

On joining the Navy he was assigned to H.M.S. Victory (a naval shore establishment). It is not known exactly how he died but it is likely he died from a bombing of known naval land establishments.
