Biography

Flying Officer Ronald Paisley graduated from Shoreditch College in 1942 and soon joined the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve. Just after midnight 26 May 1943 Fg/Off Paisley and his crew of six set out from Chedburgh to target Dusseldorf. Somewhere over the North Sea at 02:48 the Stirling Mark III BK659 was shot down. Everyone on board died and only one body was recovered. Fg/Off Paisley is remembered at Runnymede Memorial. He was 21.
