Library Support During The Exam And Assessment Period

As we charge into the Spring term and approach the exam and assessment period, the Library is here to support you every step of the way!

To help you prepare, we’ve made a small display on the Ground Floor of the Library offering a range of resources, practical guidance and student-focused advice to help support your revision and wellbeing during what can be a busy and demanding time of year.

You'll find:

Revision support materials
We have a selection of books designed to help with your studying and make the most of your revision time.

Helpful guides and leaflets
There is some information on how to access support from our IT Services and Academic Skills (ASK) team

Quick access via QR codes
You can connect easily with your Subject Librarians, who can provide tailored support for your course, as well as direct links to the ASK team for help with academic writing, study techniques and more

Wellbeing and exam preparation advice
We have a few practical tips on managing exam stress, staying motivated and maintaining balance during the revision period

Student insights
There is advice and encouragement from current and former students who have been through or are going through the same experience

Colouring for mindfulness
We have also included some mindfulness colouring sheets for when you want a distraction from your studies, including ones of Izzy the Brunel mascot!

We’ve also included an opportunity to share your own tips, encouragement or suggestions to support your fellow students because, sometimes, the most helpful advice comes from those who understand exactly what you’re going through.

In conjunction with the Academic Librarians, we have added some more wellbeing titles to Libby that you are able to peruse via the Libby app or website and of course there are more available from the Reading For Pleasure display and from the Library catalogue itself.

The display is on the Ground Floor of the Library, opposite the Help Desk so if you’re walking past take a moment to explore the display and to leave some encouraging words for your fellow students!
