Exploitation of Systems Biology Technologies
The tools of systems biology, including computational tools, microarray technology, and high throughput sequencing have practical applications to many areas of research. These tools are very powerful and have been developed to address living systems in new ways. They are also powerful platforms and we seek to apply these resources and expertise in their use to other applications and research questions.
Projects
- Protein microarrays for the monitoring of vaccine responses and for serodiagnostic assays
- Microarray applications in physical biochemistry: the application of microarrays to Particle Induced X-ray Emission (PIXE) spectroscopy
- Microarray applications for the development of highly sensitive physical sensors (DV and NS)
- The use of high-throughput sequencing for the safety screening of cells modified for human gene therapy
