QS Rankings: Brunel remains one of world's elite sporting institutions

Brunel University London has again cemented its place amongst the world’s sporting elite after being recognised as one of the top places to study sport, health and exercise sciences in the QS World Rankings by Subject 2018.

The QS World Rankings, which grades 1,130 universities across 48 subjects, ranked Brunel in the top 51-100 bracket in Sports-Related Subjects, based on academic reputation, employer reputation and research prowess. 

Brunel’s sports science department boasts a number of luminary sporting alumni, including England rugby union team manager Richard Hill MBE, Olympic hockey gold medallist Kate Richardson-Walsh OBE, and three members of Team GB’s PyeongChang 2018 bobsleigh teams.

In total, Brunel ranked in the world’s top 300 in 11 subject areas, including Business and Management Studies, Engineering – Electrical and Electronic, and Engineering – Mechanical, Aeronautical and Manufacturing.

They were also recognised as being in the top 200 in Art & Design.
