Details of the Charity:Share this
We believe that disability is caused by the way society is organised and run. Disability is not caused by a person’s impairment but by a lack of access to equipment, services, employment/educational opportunities, and an appropriately designed environment.
Details of the Volunteering Opportunity:
The Volunteer would be involved in helping set up arts and crafts activities. They would be expected to help prepare resources prior to the beginning of a session. They would be encouraged to bring their own creativity and flair to any activities. They may want to share their enthusiasm for a particular craft/hobby such as painting, card making, crochet. They would be expected to treat all participants and staff members with kindness, respect and understanding. They would welcome everyone's individualities and work cohesively with others. They should be sociable and approachable. Ideally, someone would be able to spare 2 hours a week on a Monday afternoon.
