It’s a Penalty is a UK-based charity dedicated to protecting children from abuse, exploitation, and trafficking. The organisation has global awareness campaigns,a legal reform initiative known as CommonProtect, and mobilizes a passionate network of student activists across universities to fight against child harm, offering also training programmes for parents, caregivers, and coaches o further safeguard the young children.
Details of the Volunteering Opportunity:
In this role, you will support the organisation`s mission of ending abuse, exploitation, and human trafficking by awareness-raising, change-making, and/or fundraising challenges. As a Student Ambassador, you will acquire skills such as teamwork, leadership, advocacy, event planning, marketing, and time management.
Typical duties include:
- Educating students, university staff, and the wider community on human trafficking, exploitation, and abuse
- Advocating and Fundraising vital funds to make your campus and city slavery-free
- Communicating effectively with It’s a Penalty staff, supporting their wider work
- Completing required training to better understand modern slavery
Please note, the Brunel Volunteers team would like you to commit to a minimum of 2-3 months.
