YVHSC - Healthwatch Advisory Committee Volunteer (Ealing)

Your Voice in Health and Social Care (YVHSC) is a charity that improves and shapes health and social care services by involving people in ways that are both efficient and inclusive to maximise the impact of engagement. The organisation manages the Healthwatch services in Hounslow and Ealing and also Bromley, Lewisham, Tower Hamlets and Hammersmith and Fulham.

Details of the Volunteering Opportunity:

In this role, you will work with local communities and key partners to drive influence and impact and improve health and social care services for residents. As a Healthwatch Advisory Committee Volunteer, you will acquire valuable skills such as research and analysis, community engagement, partnership building, advocacy, and team collaboration.

Typical duties include:

  • Identifying, approving, and overseeing a range of projects through evaluation of impact and publishing of reports
  • Attending committee meetings and additional project meetings where required
  • Contributing to the monitoring and scrutiny of health and social care services in the Borough of Ealing on behalf of patients, service users, carers, and residents
  • Building and maintaining good relationships with key stakeholders, including members of the public, patients, service users, carers, community, and voluntary sector organisations

Please note, this organisation would like you to commit for 12 months. Committee meetings vary but are roughly once every two months. You must be a resident of Ealing Borough.
