Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice is a community hospice providing clinical, emotional, and practical support to families of children and young people with life-limiting / life-threatening conditions in the North London boroughs of Barnet, Camden, Enfield, Haringey, Islington, and Hertsmere.
Details of the Volunteering Opportunity:
In this role, you will help to sort and organise the stock leaving it ready for sales at the organisation. As a Warehouse Assistant, you will acquire skills such as organisational, teamwork, and accuracy skills.
Typical duties include:
- Sorting through the stock donations, ensuring the items that are appropriate for resale are boxed and put in the appropriate areas ready for delivery to the shops
- Sorting items for recycling if they cannot be sold through the shops
- Steaming clothes
- Ensuring the general upkeep of the warehouse is kept tidy and organised
Please note, the Brunel Volunteers team would like you to commit to a minimum of 2-3 months.
