DASH- Fundraising Co-ordinator

Details of the Charity:

We believe that disability is caused by the way society is organised and run. Disability is not caused by a person’s impairment but by a lack of access to equipment, services, employment/educational opportunities, and an appropriately designed environment.

Details of the Volunteering Opportunity:

To identify new opportunities to raise funds for DASH through organised events. Produce social media materials which encourage members of the public to financially support DASH. Gather relevant data, information and “good news” to share on social media and to support a variety of fundraising channels. To encourage the public to commit to making a donation to DASH. To keep relevant records and evidence of your achievements.

Volunteers need to be able to commit to a regular slot one/two days a week.

Main responsibilities

  • Organising and attending Fundraiser events
  • Making connections with local community and organisation
  • Helping at local fundraiser/volunteering events
  • Be proactive and confident to interact with a diverse range of people.
  • Have some experience of raising funds for charitable organisations.
  • Demonstrate creative and imaginative thinking

Full training will be provided. You will be shadowing a DASH employee until you have completed your relevant training.

Reference checks will be required and a DBS will need to be obtained, the cost of this will be covered by DASH.

Skills Required:

  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Trustworthy and Reliable
  • Previous fundraising experience would be a bonus
  • Commitment to work in compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Sociable and approachable.
  • Good computing skills
