Details of the Charity:

London Catalyst is a charity supporting the work of London’s frontline health and social services by raising funds and passing them on through a network of 100+ hospital, health, and social care partners that provides 5,000 emergency one-off payments to people in need. The organisation also has an immediate impact on the lives of vulnerable people though emergency relief help with food, clothing, travel cards, bedding and so on.

Details of the Volunteering Opportunity:

In this role, you will be responsible to ensure that London Catalyst is solvent, well-run, and deliver charitable outcomes for the benefit of the public. As a Trustee Volunteer, you will learn a set of skills such as governance expertise, financial literacy, strategic thinking, risk management, and ethical decision-making.

Typical duties include:

  • Overseeing the charity and acting in the best interest of the beneficiaries
  • Serving on sub-committees for grants and finances
  • Visiting projects to get a better understanding of the groups that London Catalyst funds
  • Maintaining accurate and detailed records of all trust-related activities

Please note, this organisation requires a minimum 12 months commitment, within five boarding meetings per year.
