The Royal British Legion is a charity dedicated to supporting veterans and their families. The organisation provides financial aid, mental health support, housing assistance, employment help, welfare advice and more to service personnel across the country, ensuring that they receive the support and recognition they deserve.

Details of the Volunteering Opportunity:

In this role, you will coordinate the Poppy Appeal in Uxbridge. As a Poppy Appeal Organiser, you will develop your communication skills with a wide variety of people and learn how to coordinate events.

Typical duties include:

  • Promoting and fundraising for the Legion across the year
  • Managing the ordering and distribution of poppies and other fundraising items
  • Ensuring accurate handling of Legion funds
  • Maintaining links with the local community

Please note, the organization requires that you to commit to a minimum of 1 year and provide two references.
