Royal Voluntary Service is a charity supporting public health, social care, and well-being throughout England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland. The organisation builds resilience in local communities by helping people in need in NHS hospitals and communities.

Details of the Volunteering Opportunity:

In this role, you will help in cases where there is an urgent need to support people in and around your local community or lend a hand to your local NHS in a hospital environment. As an Emergency Response Volunteer, you will acquire adaptability, empathy, teamwork, and organisation skills.

Typical duties include:

  • Helping your local hospital in need of extra volunteers in winter
  • Visiting someone who’s recovering from illness
  • Joining the team at our hospital shops or cafes when they are short-handed
  • Supporting a local lunch club needs to continue to provide lunches to participants

Please note, the Brunel Volunteers team would like you to commit to a minimum of 2-3 months.
