Free to Be Kids - Residential Project Volunteer
Details of the Charity:Share this
Free To Be supports particularly vulnerable children to begin to change their stories about who they are, and who they can be. We help children who have often grown up with significant adversity or hardship to more often feel proud of themselves and to experience feeling brave, adventurous, included, and successful - often for the first time in a long time.
Details of the Volunteering Opportunity:
Our volunteers will be working with truly incredible children and helping them have a break and a chance where they can get positive adult support. You will also gain full training in working with children and safeguarding. You’ll gain confidence, make a huge difference in the lives of these children and meet some incredible other like-minded volunteers.
Our projects happen in buildings we hire (usually residential schools or outdoor education centers) in rural locations relatively close to London. Unfortunately, we cannot cover travel costs to and from our project site (usually within an hour or so of London, in a rural location), however, we can provide car parking and, if you are coming by train, we can usually collect you from the nearest station. Once you are with us, all food, accommodation, and activity costs are all covered by us. We also provide DBS checks for all of our volunteers and free training.
Enthusiasm, flexibility, and a positive attitude!
- Free training, a residential week away with all food, accommodation, and activities paid for
- Volunteering Hours to go towards the Brunel Volunteer Awards
