Details of the Charity:

Samaritans is a charity helping those going through difficult times in prison, schools, hospitals, rail networks, and so on by offering to listen and support them and their communities as well as training others to do the same. The organisation campaign for the importance of listening without judgment or pressure to people in need, and other types of suicide prevention.

Details of the Volunteering Opportunity:

In this role, you will help the organisation with marketing and the management of social media. As a Social Media Support Volunteer, you will learn a set of skills such as listening, communication, problem-solving, time management, organisational, and teamwork.

Typical duties include:

  • Creating marketing campaigns and strategies to promote products, services, or events
  • Generating engaging content for various platforms, including social media, websites, and newsletters
  • Managing and scheduling posts on social media platforms, responding to comments, and analysing engagement
  • Creating visual materials like banners, flyers, and graphics for promotional purposes.

Please note, this organisation requires a minimum 12-month commitment.
