Harlington Hospice – Reception Volunteer

Harlington Hospice is a specialized form of healthcare working throughout the London Borough of Hillingdon. The organisation aims to enhance the quality of life for patients and their families by providing comfort, pain management, and emotional support to patients and their families during their end-of-life journey.  

Details of the Volunteering Opportunity:

In this role, you will help and support the reception area. As a Reception Volunteer, you will acquire communication and interpersonal skills whilst also enhancing your customer service and multitasking skills.

Typical duties include:

  • Meeting, greeting, and assisting visitors and patients at reception
  • Aiding the team with any ad hoc office tasks such as photocopying
  • Managing updates and admissions of patients and providing the information to appropriate staff members
  • Ensuring the reception area remains clean, organised, and presentable, including managing deliveries and maintaining adequate supplies

Please note, the Brunel Volunteers team would like you to commit to a minimum of 2-3 months.
