Bright Futures UK – Online Volunteer Tutor

Details of the Charity:

Bright Futures UK is a charity dedicated to addressing the critical gap in the education system for young people with long-term illness. The organisation provides tailored programmes to help people keep up with their studies, make social connections, and continue with life.

Details of the Volunteering Opportunity:

In this role, you will deliver online tutoring sessions. As a Volunteer Tutor, you will develop your communication and organisation skills, and build confidence in those you meet with.

Typical duties include:

  • Providing academic support with a strong understanding of subject concepts and theories
  • Working 1:1 with students across a variety of ages, from Primary School all the way to A-Level
  • Being empathetic to the struggles that the young people are facing
  • Maintaining consistent availability across the period of volunteering

Please note, the organisation requires a DBS check (fully funded) and asks that you to commit to a minimum of 3 months.
