HealthWatch - Patient Experience Volunteer

Details of the Charity:

Healthwatch is an independent statutory body founded on the belief that services work best when they are designed around the needs and experiences of the people who use them. The organisation aims to become an influential and effective voice of the public by ensuring that patients, their families, and friends are heard in regard to their views and experiences of health and social care services running in Hillingdon.

Details of the Volunteering Opportunity:

In this role, you will collect feedback regarding service users' experiences of the health and social care system within their local borough. As a Patient Experience Volunteer, you will develop skills in effective communication, active listening, data collection, and feedback analysis.

Typical duties include:

  • Conducting face-to-face surveys with patients in various GP and hospital surgery are around the borough
  • Inputting patient experience feedback into the database
  • Collecting online reviews from Google, the NHS, and Care opinions to use in our reports
  • Researching potential partner organisations in the health and social care sector

Please note, the Brunel Volunteers team would like you to commit to a minimum of 2-3 months.
