Research supervision

I am especially interested in supervising research in the following areas:

  • Arts therapies and creative health
  • Social art therapy and arts-based approaches to social change
  • Digital creative health, digital wellbeing, and ethical online practice
  • Artificial intelligence, creativity, mental health, and wellbeing
  • Complexity theory, systems thinking, and ecological approaches to care
  • Arts-based, participatory, qualitative, realist, and mixed-methods research
  • Mentalization, relational practice, and psychodynamic approaches in arts therapies
  • Trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and socially situated practice
  • Creative approaches to team development, organisational learning, and psychological safety
  • Education, curriculum development, and wellbeing in higher education
  • Evaluation of creative health interventions, including Living Logic Models and realist evaluation
  • Psychometric development and context-sensitive wellbeing measurement
  • Ethical, inclusive, and accessible practice in arts therapies and creative health

I am interested in projects that combine theoretical depth with practice relevance, and that attend carefully to context, power, culture, ethics, lived experience, and the material conditions in which creative practices take place. I welcome projects using arts-based, practice-based, participatory, qualitative, realist, mixed-methods, or complexity-informed approaches.
